European Partnership for Quality and Implementation of the European Credit System

The project called European Partnership for Quality and Implementation of the European Credit System in VET II is a follow-up of a partner project regarding ECVET in 2010 – 2012. Poland is facing a challenge in implementation of ECVET System that is why the Semper Avanti Association is actively participating in this issue. First of all, the fundamental aim of this project is to extend the knowledge of possibility to transfer accomplishment in vocational education in the chosen profession as well as practical learning from foreign partners who have already implemented ECVET. The Association supports the mobility of students and graduates of different trades and courses. Within the frames of the current partnership, work on graphic designers’ qualifications has already been launched. While working on unification of learning effects and training schedule (module) some discrepancies have occurred. Partners are trying to clarify mentioned divergence with the help of units responsible for education in the given country.

The fulfilment of the project with the elements of ECVET allows to include elaborated results during planning and implementing further ideas. In the case of European Partnership for Quality and Implementation of the European Credit System in VET II, the module for graphic designers will be worked out and tested together with a certification and recognisability of accomplishment system. In the previous partner project, it was a mark sheet for received grades, which also presented recognisability of acquired skills in the field of intercultural competence and work in intercultural environment.

Our previous experience shows that while planning a fulfilment of the project with the elements of ECVET System, it is crucial to remember that cooperation with institutions supporting the process of implementation of ECVET (vocational schools, school inspectorates, the Educational Research Institute or the National Centre for Supporting Vocational and Continuing Education)
plays the fundamental role.
